Dr. Rasmi Johnson, B.A.M.S., M.S.
Dr. Rasmi Johnson, Sr. Physician at AyurVAID Hospital, Ramamurthynagar brings 11 years of experience. She holds a Bachelor in Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery from the Vaidyaratnam Ayurveda College, Thaikkattussery, Thrissur, Kerala. (Calicut University) and Master in Surgery in Ayurveda from S.D.M College of Ayurveda, Hassan. She has also trained in Kayachikitsa and Balachikitsa under Vaidyabhooshanam Raghavan Thirumulpad Chalakudy, Kerala.
She specializes in Para surgical procedures, Kshara Karma (Caustic Cautery), Kshara Sutra (Caustic thread), Agni karma (Thermal Cautery) and Raktamokshana (Blood letting) for treating various surgical disorders.
Prior to AyurVAID, she worked as as Lecturer for the Dept. of Shalya Tantra, Ashwini Ayurveda College, Tumkur and as consulting doctor Kottakkal Arya Vaidya Sala Agency in Mysore, Karnataka. She has also served as Medical Officer at Harisree Ayurvedic Hospital & Research Centre, Mannuthi, Thrissur, Kerala in the department of Panchakarma and Ksharasutra.
Dr. Rasmi has also participated in international seminars and workshops at SDMCA&H, Hassan and presented several papers, including, “Ayurvedic approach to the diagnosis of Jalodara” in a Symposium on Udara Chikitsa, and the “Concept of Rasayana Chikitsa” in International level seminar held at Vaidyaratnam Ayurveda College and Hospital Thrissur, Kerala.
Dr. Byresh Appaiah, B.A.M.S. MD (Kayachikitsa)
Dr. Appaiah, Sr. Physician, brings over 12 years of experience to AyurVAID Hospital, Ramamurthy Nagar, Bangalore.
He holds a Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery from the Government Ayurveda Medical College, Bangalore with a first class and Gold medal. He has a post graduate degree in Kayachikitsa from Government Ayurveda Medical College, Mysore and a diploma in Hospital & Health Management from IGNOU, New Delhi. Dr. Byresh is also certified by the National Accreditation Board for Hospital & Health Care Providers as an Assessor for AYUSH Hospitals.
He specializes in Skin disorders (Psoriasis, Eczema, Vitiligo, Acne, Lichen Planus), Hepato-biliary disorders, Peripheral Vascular Disorders (TAO, Varicose Veins), Respiratory ailments, Arthritis, Renal Calculi, Migraine & other headache, Spine disorders, Gastrointestinal disorders (Ulcerative colitis), Obesity, PCOS, Non-Healing Ulcers, corn, and Occupational stress-related injury
Other special interests include: Neurological disorders, Skin, Arthritis problems.
Prior to AyurVAID, Dr. Byresh was a Lecturer in the Department of Kayachikitsa at SDM College of Ayurveda & Hospital, Hassan and co-guided post graduate scholars in their dissertation works. He also served at Sri Kalabairaveshwara Ayurveda College, Bangalore.
He has participated in clinical studies and research and carries multiple prestigious publications to his name. He continues to publish and lecture regularly on various aspects of Ayurveda and Health. In 2007, he was awarded one among ‘Top Ten Consultants’ by SDM College of Ayurveda, Hospital, Hassan. He was a regular speaker in “Radio Doctor” of All India Radio, Hassan and guest speaker in “Nitya Sanjeevini” a daily Ayurvedic programme by ETV.
Dr Byresh enjoys reading books, writing articles, teaching, delivering lectures, drawing, listening to music, travelling & adventure activities.
