Primary Physician in charge of AyurVAID Clinics Jayanagar 26 year old Dr.Harsha U Nair brings with her a passion of service through medicine. With AyurVAID since 2015, her focused areas of expertise include Lifestyle Disorders including Obesity, Hypertension: High BP, Acidity, Acid Peptic Disorders, Hair loss, Diabetes: Pre-Diabetes, Type 2 Diabetes & Diabetic Complications, Hemorrhoids (Piles, Fistula and Fissures), De-addiction counselling and treatment, Women and Child Health, Eye Conditions, Infertility, Musculoskeletal disorders - Arthritis (OA, RA, Lupus, Gout, Psoriatic), Spondylosis (Cervical, Thoracic, Lumbar); Skin including Psoriasis, and PCOD.

At AyurVAID Clinics, she prescribes and supervises various Ayurveda procedures and Panchakarma processes including Abhyangam, Vasti, Vamana, Virechana, Raktamokshana, Kizhi, Njavarakizhi, Sirodhara, Sirovasthi, Snehapanam, Nasyam, Lepanam, Udvarthanam, Thalam, Thalapothichil, Snehapanam, Pizhichil, Abhyangam, Lepanam, Udvarthanam, and Sirovasthi. She is experienced in supervising and conducting keraleeya panchakarma procedures.

A very independent spirited and dedicated medical practitioner who is tough with truant patients, Dr.Harsha is committed to Ayurveda, and explains that in Ayurveda medicines there are virtually no side effects causing morbidities or diseases that make require another treatment. And similarly, all Ayurveda therapies, in its core, are essentially rejuvenating and not energy sapping or weakening the body. Hailing from Harippad in Allepuzha district of Kerala, Dr.Harsha had her schooling in Mumbai metropolis. It is her interest in ‘live’ sciences and her parents’ desire to have a doctor in the family, which had made her choose Ayurveda over the opportunity to study Engineering, Microbiology and Dental Science after her Plus 2. She describes herself as one who provides ‘ayurveda solutions’ rather than treatments to her patients.

A first class student all through, she sustained her performance in Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) at Amrita School of Ayurveda, Kollam, Kerala. And it was her days at Amrita, with exposure to serving the rural tapestry and the warmth and gratitude her efforts received, which deeply embedded the sense of service and the thought of giving back to the society in her. On giving up her dental seat, she adds in lighter vein that she was interested in study of the whole body and not just a portion of it, and according to Dr.Harsha mathematics and physics are ‘dead’ sciences in comparison to medicine. Chosen by AyurVAID during campus selection in 2015, Dr. Harsha has virtually risen from the ranks, performing all the roles deemed of a physician at AyurVAID. This endowed her with complete understanding of the Evidence based process of service delivery unique to AyurVAID. It enabled her assimilate expertise and insights she received from renowned seniors such as Dr.Radhika Varma, always keeping patient care first even while paying heed to documentation of cases.

A single child, Dr.Harsha is fluent in English, Malayalam, Hindi, Marathi and Tamil, and has attended different national seminars on various subjects including one on Neurodegenerative Disorders. A talented classical dancer and singer, she is married to Mr.Sreejith Lal, who himself is a business development manager for a firm which is into eco-friendly products and solutions.
