Dr. S.V. Mrithunjaya Prasad, Senior Physician at AyurVAID Hospital, Domlur brings 13 years of experience to AyurVAID. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Ayurveda Medicine & Surgery from Ayurveda College, Coimbatore.
Dr. Prasad is an uncompromising adherent of pure Ayurveda, a quality and tradition that he acquired from his father a respected Ayurveda physician who practiced Ayurveda for more than 50 years.
Prior to AyurVAID, he worked as lecturer and Head of Department of Rasasastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana, Ayurveda college, Coimbatore. Thereafter, he worked as Physician in Calicut branch as well as different agencies of The Arya Vaidya Pharmacy(CBE) Ltd in Kozhikode and Wynad Districts of Kerala. Later, Dr. Prasad served in different parts of Sultanate of Oman as Ayurvedic Physician for more than 5 years. He understands Arabian culture and can converse fluently in Arabic.
He has experience in manufacture of Ayurvedic medicines and remedies- a strength that he brings to the benefit of his numerous patients by preparing freshly prepared classical Ayurveda medicines that multiplies the efficacy of the medicines and helps in curing the most chronic and complicated of ailments.
Dr. Prasad is an expert in the classical Ayurveda management of Gastrointestinal Disorders such as Ulcerative Colitis, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Acid Peptic Disorders.
