Benefits of Bael Fruit 

Although called wood apple, Bael fruit has little resemblance to apples. With complex flavors, Bael tree also has religious significance.   The three-pronged leaf of Bael resembles Shiva's Trishul.

All parts of the plant have medicinal value.

Roots cure nausea & vomiting. Powder of leaves prevents abdominal pain & gastritis.   Decoction of stem helps in heart ailments, digestion and RA. Fruit juice is an excellent digestive tonic for all gut issues.

1. Scoop the pulp into a bowl  and add a cup of water.  2. Let it soak for few minutes.   3. Squeeze the pulp, and  discard the seeds and hard part.

4. Strain the juice and discard the seeds and hard part.  5. Add sugar if needed, and a pinch of salt and cumin powder.  6. Serve chilled.
