Sharad (Autumn)

Autumn liquefies the Pitta, which governs all heat, metabolism and transformation in the mind and body. Pitta controls how we digest foods, how we metabolize our sensory perceptions, and how we discriminate between right and wrong, and governs the important digestive “Agnis” or fires of the body. Post rainy season, the weather aggravates the fire element, which in turn vitiates the blood in the body.
