Nasya is performed both as a part of Panchakarma therapy and as a daily regimen (in low doses). Nasya should be done only under the supervision of an Ayurveda Doctor. Daily regimen – Nasya should be done on an empty stomach, after brushing and bowel evacuation. Sit in a calm place and massage your face with warm sesame oil avoiding the eye area. Apply a lukewarm towel over your face to induce mild sweating, and lie down on a cot, placing your head over a thin pillow. Warm the Anu Thailam slightly by placing it in a bowl of warm water. Put 2 drops in each nostril, keeping your face upwards. Spit out the mucus. Take a bath after at least 30 minutes of oil application.
