Children (4 to 11 years):
Take half to 1 teaspoon of Chyavanaprasam, twice daily or as directed by an Ayurveda Physician.

Diabetic patients should avoid it due to its sugar content. It should be consumed with caution in individuals with high Pitta levels (experiencing excess body heat, sweating, ulcers, etc.). It’s recommended to skip Chyavanaprasam during the initial stages of cold, cough, or fever. Instead, have warm milk or water before or after taking it, and avoid cold or room temperature food for at least 30 minutes afterward. If planning long-term use, alternate between consuming it every other day or follow a cycle of two months on, one month off. Some may experience heightened heat or heartburn, but taking Chyavanaprasam with milk during the morning, Kapha-dominant period can help alleviate these symptoms.
If you want to take it for longer durations, it can be taken on alternate days. or It can also be taken for two months, followed by a one-month break before continuing for another two months, and so on.
It is best to consume Chyavanaprasam morning and night, before food.

People with high Pitta (excess body heat) may experience heat-related reactions like skin rashes or boils. Consuming it with milk in the morning can help minimize these effects.
Avoid taking it in the early stages of a cold or fever. Warm milk or water should be consumed with or after it, and avoid cold foods and drinks for half an hour afterward.
