Causes of Glaucoma

Allergic Conjunctivitis, Vernal kerato-conjunctivitis, Scleritis, Episcleritis, Uveitis, Glaucoma, Steven Johnson’s syndrome . All these conditions can lead to corneal scarring/ haze and lead to visual disturbances. Red eye/ hyperaemic eye can all cause severe sudden eye pain, recurrent pain in or around the eye, hazy, blurred, or double vision, seeing flashes of light or sudden bright floating spots, seeing rainbows or halos around lights, seeing floating “spider webs”, seeing a “curtain coming down” over one eye. Glaucoma treatment is essential to manage intraocular pressure and preserve vision in cases of glaucoma.
