Dr. Byresh Appaiah

Dr. Appaiah, an Ayurvedic doctor for Parkinson, is a Senior Physician who brings over 20 years of experience to AyurVAID Hospital, HRBR Layout, Bangalore.

Dr. Byresh A., a post graduate in Kayachikitsa, post graduate diploma in Hospital & Health Management, Assessor – NABH is currently heading the prestigious Adichunchanagiri Ayurvedic Medical College (AMC) at Nelamangala as Principal.

He specializes in Skin disorders (Psoriasis, Eczema, Vitiligo, Acne, Lichen Planus), Hepato-biliary disorders, Peripheral Vascular Disorders (TAO, Varicose Veins), Respiratory ailments, Arthritis, Renal Calculi, Migraine & other headache, Spine disorders, Gastrointestinal disorders (Ulcerative colitis), Obesity, PCOS, Non-Healing Ulcers, corn, and Occupational stress-related injury

Other special interests include: Neurological disorders, Skin, Arthritis problems.

Prior to AyurVAID, Dr. Byresh was a Lecturer in the Department of Kayachikitsa at SDM College of Ayurveda & Hospital, Hassan and co-guided post graduate scholars in their dissertation works. He also served at Sri Kalabairaveshwara Ayurveda College, Bangalore.

Dr. Byresh is also the Consulting Physician at AyurVAID Hospitals – the first NABH accredited Ayurveda Hospital in India. He has actively involved in drafting & revising the NABH Ayurveda accreditation standards 2nd Edition. He has published articles in Kannada & English in Newspapers, magazines & peer reviewed journals. He has delivered talks in radio (Radio Sanjivini) & Television on health related topics. He has delivered lectures in various seminars & symposiums and has trained doctors in workshops on Ayurveda Panchakarma Procedures. He has been a trainer for NABH Assessors & has conducted POI for NABH Standards.

He has guided more than 20 post graduate students and is a member of Ethical Committee of leading Research institutes. He is the recipient of Gold Medal & Dabur Ayurmedha Award for securing highest marks in BAMS.

He has actively involved in documenting Traditional healing practices under RRC, Udupi and FRLHT. He was one of the core committee members in drafting & revising the Second Edition of Ayurveda NABH Standards and drafting NABH Panchakarma Clinic Standards. He has been an organising committee member for various State & National Level Seminars. He is also the Associate Editor of Ayurved Line, a biannual on Ayurvedic Medicament.
