Ayurveda for Migraine

Migraine is a neurological condition marked by intense headaches, nausea, and sensitivity to light and sound. It can be triggered by genetic and environmental factors. Symptoms often include pain in the eyes, face, and neck, unilateral headaches, nasal congestion, and scalp tenderness. Migraine attacks can last from hours to days and occur in four stages: prodrome, aura, attack, and post-drome. Hormonal fluctuations, such as those during pregnancy, menstruation, and menopause, can trigger migraines, as can hormonal contraceptives. Other common triggers are stress, sensory stimuli, sleep pattern changes, and certain foods (salty, spicy, acidic, and processed). Risk factors include family history, age, and hormonal changes.
