Dr. Anju Balakrishnan

Dr Anju Balakrishnan is an Ayurveda Consultant and Physician with an MD in Dravyaguna Vijnana (Clinical Pharmacology) from Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Ayurveda and over 11 years of clinical experience. She has worked as a Consulting Physician and Medical Officer across various Ayurvedic healthcare settings, including the government healthcare sector in Udupi and Ayurvedic clinics in Kerala.
Her clinical expertise includes musculoskeletal conditions, gastrointestinal disorders, respiratory conditions, skin diseases, and lifestyle-related disorders. She manages conditions such as neck and back pain, arthritis, spondylosis, gastritis, acid reflux, IBS, recurrent respiratory complaints, allergic conditions, acne, pigmentation, and inflammatory skin disorders.
Dr Anju follows a personalised approach to care, combining Ayurvedic medicines, dietary and lifestyle guidance, therapeutic procedures, and Panchakarma when clinically appropriate, with a focus on sustainable improvement and a better quality of life.
She also has an academic interest in Ayurvedic pharmacology and has published articles, including “Rajakoshataki (Luffa acutangula): An Underrated Drug” and a critical review of Krimighna Dashemani, exploring the therapeutic relevance of Ayurvedic medicinal herbs.
