Psoriasis is a chronic immune-mediated disorder of accelerated epidermal turnover that substantially reduces quality of life and, in some patients, progresses to psoriatic arthritis with joint damage and functional loss. In a fast-paced city like Hyderabad — where urban stress, irregular diets and sedentary work are common — the metabolic and psychosocial drivers that aggravate psoriasis are frequently encountered.
At the Somajiguda centre, we practise Precision Ayurveda integrated with contemporary rehabilitation. Our aim is not just symptomatic suppression, but also durable disease modification: correcting digestive and metabolic imbalances, calming the aberrant inflammatory response, and restoring tissue resilience through structured, protocol-driven care.
We adopt a four-step, individualized pathway that integrates classical assessment with modern outcome metrics:
Outcome tracking — serial PASI, BSA and DLQI measurements to document response and guide maintenance.
Therapies are mediated in three progressive steps to aim for remission and resilience:
Stage 1 — Poorvakarma in 7–10 days
Initial stabilization to decrease acute inflammation and scaling: Generally consists of internal medicines to ignite Agni, along with topical applications, lepa, and soothing Parisheka, medicated washes.
Stage 2 — Panchakarma in 14–21 days
Specific detoxification according to the dominant dosha pattern:
Virechana in cases of Pitta-Vata types; Vamana and Nasya in cases of Kapha-Vata patterns, where applicable. Sedative therapies such as Takra Dhara help diminish nervous-system stress that often accompanies chronic skin disease.
Stage 3 — Rasayana & nourishment in 3–6 months
Post-detox rehabilitation with rejuvenative Rasayana formulations, blood purifiers and nutritional rehabilitation to consolidate remission, restore skin texture and reduce recurrence risk.
