Dr M R Vasudevan Nampoothiri MD (Ay) is a former principal of Govt. Ayurveda College, Thiruvananthapuram, and Director of Ayurveda Medical Education, Kerala.
He was the research guide for more than 80 thesis works done by various postgraduate doctors nationwide. And, even more, he has been a true Guru and guiding light to his students who in turn have been inspired by him to careers of excellence in Ayurveda, as clinicians, researchers, and academicians.
Dr Nampoothiri has more than 30 years of clinical experience and expertise. He is the honorary member in scientific advisory committees of Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM),, Gujarat Ayurveda University (GAU), Jamnagar and the Patent cell of Govt. Of Kerala. He is recently nominated to the governing body of Central Council for Research in Ayurveda and Siddha (CCRAS) by Union Minister for Health and Family welfare.
Dr Nampoothiri has been a regular speaker at national seminars and workshops.
He has authored a book on Principles and Practice of Vashti and 50 articles on various subjects in Ayurveda.
