AyurVAID Kalmatia is a wellness sanctuary tucked up in the mountain paradise of Kasa Devi. The energy here is not just from Van Allen’s Belt but from the incredible and caring staff who seem to know what you need before you do yourself. The gorgeous therapists Pooja, Sunita, Meenakshi and Geeta guided me through my treatments with grace , kindness and sensitivity. Every wish was catered for by Pritam and Sunil and their team in the kitchen and service department with enormous smiles and a song, from keeping the cottage warm, to herbal tea and cookies, to the most delicious vegetarian food and more. Akhilesh, the very patient Yoga and Meditation Master with his soothing voice and gentle guidance has set me on my way to becoming yoga devotee. Manager Pooja Ji is the absolute best. She had everything all sorted before arrival. I can’t thank her enough for her kindness and concern for my wellbeing. Nothing was ever a problem. The world needs more Poojas! The brilliant Dr Bhagyalakshmi is not only incredibly intelligent, informative and reassuring but she has a calmness and beauty about her that makes you know you are in safe hands. The little black bird that would wake me up every morning at 6 am with his beautiful bird song before heading off for his day, the fluttering butterflies that would flitter around me when walking up to and back from the clinic can’t steal the limelight from the star of the show, the stunning view of the very camera shy Himalayas. The view is etched in my brain and will be visited every time I meditate or dream of AyurVAID Kalmatia. ❤️
