Dr K. Gireesh has his doctorate in Medicine (M.D. General Medicine) in April 1981 from the University of Madras.
He took his doctorate in Neurology in April 1984 and further obtained M.Ch. (Neurosurgery) in October 1990.
Dr K. Gireesh has done significant research works in Neuroscience Intracranial Tumours. He is also a teacher par excellence teaching post graduates in Medicine, Neurology & Neurosurgery for the past more than 25 years.
He has organized 300 scientific seminars regionally and has presented scientific papers.
Dr K. Gireesh has served in Government of Tamil Nadu as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor of Neurosurgery and has been associated with Institute of Neurology, Government General Hospital, Government Stanley hospital and Government Royapettah Hospital Kilpauk Medical College.
