Irregular eating habits, stress, inadequate hydration, and a sedentary lifestyle are common triggers according to Ayurvedic principles.     1. Hemorrhoids: Excessive straining during bowel movements can induce swelling and inflammation of blood vessels near the rectum.
    2. Fecal Impaction: Severe constipation may cause hardened stool to become lodged in the rectum, impeding its passage.
    3. Rectal Prolapse: Chronic straining can weaken the rectal muscles, causing the rectum to protrude from the anus.
    4. Anal Fissures: Hardened stools can create tears in the anal lining, resulting in painful fissures.

Triphala, a combination of three fruits (amalaki, bibhitaki, and haritaki), is a renowned remedy known for its gentle laxative properties. Other herbs like licorice, psyllium husk, and castor oil are also used to promote regularity.
  • Yoga and Exercise: Incorporating gentle yoga poses, particularly those targeting the abdomen, can help stimulate digestion and relieve constipation. Regular exercise, even a brisk walk, promotes healthy bowel movements by improving circulation and reducing stress.
  • Abhyanga (Oil Massage): Massaging the abdomen with warm oils, such as sesame oil, in a clockwise motion aids in calming Vata, promoting relaxation, and supporting healthy digestion.
  • Lifestyle Modifications: Ayurveda emphasizes maintaining a routine for meals and sleep. Establishing a consistent schedule for eating, sleeping, and bowel movements supports overall digestive health.
