PID is correlated as paripluta in Ayurveda, a condition where women with pitta prakriti suppress natural urges like Kshavathu (sneezing) and udgara ( eructation) during coitus due to which vitiated vayu combines with pitta get aggravated and afflicts yoni and causes paripluta.
