Ayurveda Regime for the 1st Month of Pregnancy

Ayurveda prescribes a specific diet regimen for each month of pregnancy to support the health of both mother and baby. In the first month, it is advisable to consume milk, Drava Ahara (liquid food), and Madhura Ahara (naturally sweet foods). Sweet foods in Ayurveda refer to those with natural sweetness, such as fruits and foods with unrefined sweeteners, rather than processed sugars. Herbal supplements can also be added to milk to enhance its nutritional benefits. This light and easily digestible diet helps manage regurgitation and emesis, which are common in early pregnancy. It also aids in rehydration, fetal nourishment, and anabolic support for the mother, ensuring overall well-being for both.
