Dr. Himani Sharma

Dr. Himani Sharma is an Ayurveda physician with a specialization in Shalakya Tantra (Ayurvedic Ophthalmology & ENT). She completed her BAMS from A & U Tibbia College, University of Delhi, and her MS in Shalakya Tantra from the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), New Delhi. She currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Shalakya Tantra and combines clinical practice with academic teaching and research.

Dr. Himani has gained extensive clinical and academic experience through her tenure at the All India Institute of Ayurveda, followed by teaching and patient care responsibilities at Ankerite Ayurvedic Medical College, Lucknow, and Sanjeevani Ayurvedic Medical College, Gajraula. Her work has involved comprehensive outpatient and inpatient care, undergraduate teaching, and the management of a wide range of ophthalmological and ENT disorders using evidence-based Ayurveda.

Her clinical interests include the Ayurvedic management of eye disorders, ENT conditions, refractive errors such as myopia, allergic rhinitis, sinusitis, chronic ear disorders, headache, and diseases requiring Kriya Kalpa and Panchakarma therapies. She is committed to delivering personalised, evidence-informed Ayurveda that combines classical principles with contemporary clinical practice. Her postgraduate research focused on the Ayurvedic management of simple myopia (Timira) through a controlled clinical trial.

Alongside her clinical practice, Dr. Himani is an active researcher and academician. She has authored 3 books, 5 book chapters, and 12 peer-reviewed research publications, serves as a peer reviewer for reputed scientific journals, and has 11 patent applications to her credit. Her passion for research, innovation, and patient-centred care reflects her commitment to advancing evidence-based Ayurveda and improving long-term patient outcomes.
