Dr Laya Prakash is a dedicated Ayurveda physician specialising in Shalya Tantra (Ayurvedic surgery), with a BAMS from Sri Sairam Ayurveda College and Research Centre, Chennai, and an MS in Shalya Tantra from Government Ayurveda College, Thiruvananthapuram. Her clinical expertise of over 7 years spans a wide spectrum of surgical and parasurgical conditions. She specialises in the Ayurvedic management of anorectal conditions such as haemorrhoids (using transfixation, ligation, and ksharalepa techniques), fissure-in-ano (fissurectomy), fistula-in-ano, pilonidal sinus, perianal abscess, and non-healing ulcers, with expertise in Ksharasutra application.
