Dr. Himani Sharma

Dr Himani Sharma is a highly accomplished, research-oriented, and academically focused Ayurveda Physician, specialising in Shalakya Tantra (Ayurvedic Ophthalmology & Otorhinolaryngology/ENT). She completed her BAMS from the historic A & U Tibbia College, University of Delhi, and earned her Master of Surgery (MS) in Shalakya Tantra from the apex All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), New Delhi, the premier research institute under the Ministry of AYUSH. Dr Himani currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Shalakya Tantra, combining her extensive clinical practice with academic teaching and scientific research. Her professional experience includes outpatient and inpatient care, clinical training, and lecturing at several reputed medical colleges, including Ankerite Ayurvedic Medical College, Lucknow, and Sanjeevani Ayurvedic Medical College, Gajraula. Her clinical expertise lies in the management of complex eye and ENT disorders through classical Ayurveda, specialising in refractive errors (such as myopia), allergic rhinitis, chronic sinusitis, ear disorders, chronic headaches, and diseases requiring specialised local therapeutic procedures (Kriya Kalpa) and Panchakarma. Her postgraduate research focused on the Ayurvedic management of simple myopia (Timira) through a controlled clinical trial. Dr Himani is an active researcher and academic author, having written 3 books, 5 book chapters, and 17 peer-reviewed research publications. She has also filed 13 patent applications and serves as a peer reviewer for several reputed scientific journals, reflecting her commitment to advancing evidence-based Ayurveda and improving long-term patient outcomes.
