Dr. Sanjay Kumar Tiwari is an Ayurveda physician, researcher, and academic with expertise in Kayachikitsa (Internal Medicine) and evidence-based Ayurveda. He completed his BAMS and MD (Kayachikitsa) from Ch. Brahm Prakash Ayurved Charak Sansthan, New Delhi, and is currently pursuing his PhD in Kayachikitsa at the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), New Delhi. He has also completed a Certificate Course in Hospital Management from AIIA, where he was awarded a Gold Medal.
His clinical and research experience spans patient care, teaching, and clinical research. He has served as a Senior Research Fellow (Medical) at CSIR–Institute of Genomic and Integrative Biology (IGIB), contributing to a Centre of Excellence project on Ayurveda Prakriti and Genomics. He has also worked as an MD Scholar at Ch. Brahm Prakash Ayurved Charak Sansthan and is presently a PhD Scholar at the All India Institute of Ayurveda, where he is actively involved in outpatient and inpatient care, academic teaching, and clinical research.
Dr. Sanjay’s clinical interests include the Ayurveda management of metabolic disorders, diabetes, obesity, male reproductive and sexual health disorders, gastrointestinal disorders, and chronic lifestyle diseases. His ongoing research focuses on diabetes-induced erectile dysfunction, while his academic work reflects a strong interest in Panchakarma, evidence-based Ayurveda, and integrative clinical care.
An active researcher and academician, Dr. Sanjay has authored 3 books, 5 book chapters, and 16 peer-reviewed research publications, with several papers indexed in reputed journals. He has also filed 12 patents and serves as Managing Editor of the Journal of Health Synapse while contributing as a peer reviewer for multiple scientific journals. His passion for research, innovation, and patient-centred Ayurveda enables him to combine classical Ayurvedic wisdom with contemporary scientific evidence to deliver personalised, outcome-focused care.
