Dr. Smitha Jayadev is a senior Ayurveda physician with nearly two decades of clinical experience in the diagnosis and management of complex chronic diseases through Precision Ayurveda. She completed her Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) from Government Ayurveda College, Kannur, Kerala, followed by a Master’s Degree in Alternative Medicine (MD) from the Indian Board of Alternative Medicines. She has further strengthened her clinical expertise through specialised training in Agastya Marma Chikitsa Bandaging Techniques, the Vanitha Clinic Training Programme, a Diploma in Ayurvedic Cosmetology, and a Fellowship in Cardiac Rehabilitation.
Over the course of her 19-year career, Dr. Smitha has worked with several reputed Ayurveda institutions across India, including Arya Vaidya Pharmacy, Ayush Therapy Center, Kottakkal Arya Vaidya Sala, Patanjali Arogya Kendra, Jeevamrutham Ayurvedics, Paramount Health Services (TPA) Pvt. Ltd., and Sadayush Ayurvedic Cure and Care. These diverse clinical and academic experiences have enabled her to develop expertise in managing a broad spectrum of acute and chronic health conditions through personalised, evidence-informed Ayurveda.
Her clinical interests include women’s health disorders such as infertility, PCOS, uterine fibroids, menstrual disorders, and postnatal care, along with gastrointestinal disorders, dermatological conditions, neurological disorders, respiratory diseases, and metabolic disorders. She also has extensive experience in treating chronic liver diseases, including fatty liver disease and liver fibrosis, as well as musculoskeletal disorders such as osteoarthritis and avascular necrosis. Her fellowship in Cardiac Rehabilitation further enhances her expertise in integrative rehabilitation and comprehensive lifestyle management.
In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Smitha is actively involved in patient education and preventive healthcare through wellness talks and health awareness initiatives. She is experienced in planning and supervising personalised Panchakarma programmes and comprehensive outpatient Ayurveda care, helping patients achieve sustainable improvements in health and quality of life through a whole-person approach.
