What is the difference between PCOD and PCOS?
PCOD and PCOS are two different conditions with similar signs and symptoms. Despite the differences, these words are used synonymously often, mostly because of ignorance. PCOS or Poly Cystic Ovary Syndrome happens when the hormonal imbalance causes the ovary to produce androgens in an increased amount, leading to anovulation (absence of ovulation). So, the ovum is compelled to remain in the ovary as a cyst. The symptoms are similar to that of PCOD.
Will PCOS resolve by itself?
No, it will not. Anyway, diet regulation and lifestyle changes can make big strides when it comes to managing symptoms. Ayurveda can help you make these changes with dinacharya (daily routine), ritucharya (seasonal regimen), yoga, pranayama, etc.
